Footnotes
EVERY FOUR YEARS broke through the gate pre race but was quickly gathered, re loaded then beat the gate and cleared in the initial jumps, secured the inside and set a rated pace, edged away a bit near the five sixteenths, came under a ride in upper stretch, drifted a bit past the three sixteenths, corrected when meeting and outer bid from RETURN FIRE a sixteenth out, kept on tenaciously under solid handling and prevailed. RETURN FIRE stalked to the inside of a rival, was under asking pursuing past the three eighths, eased out approaching the stretch, came back on and bid outside the winner near the sixteenth pole, battled gamely while on near even terms but was kept at bay. HALLELUJAH HARRIS , bumped at the start, was rated back off foes then angled about four wide, commenced a run when put to a ride four wide leaving the far turn, advanced into the stretch, had aim on the leader while giving hard chase in mid stretch but failed to seriously sustain. OXFORD UNION saved ground under a ride near the half mile marker, worked outward for the final quarter mile bit lacked a solid finish. SILENT ROAR , four wide into the first turn, edged up between foes nearing the far turn, dropped in to make a mild run past the five sixteenths, failed to go on past the three sixteenths and weakened. ANDRAS , quickly to contention, stalked outside a rival, was under a hustling ride leaving the far turn, failed to kick on entering the lane and weakened. LONG ASTRIDE broke slowly, was used five wide into the first turn, continued well wide while edging up past the five eighths, chased, lacked a kick leaving the five sixteenths and weakened. SINGULARITY , between foes around the first turn, steadied back off rivals soon into the backstretch, chased in the clear near the half, came five wide for the drive and faded. I WANNA ROCK broke inward bumping a rival, was squeezed back in the opening sixteenth then was outrun. UWASNREDDI was squeezed back soon after the break and failed to respond.
