Footnotes
NEW YORK PANTHER , two to three wide and within range, was put to a strong ride pursuing past the five sixteenths, worked outward past the three sixteenths, closed steadily outside rivals while under right handed asks, took command in deep stretch and drew clear at the wire. BOSS IS A PAL rated kindly while tracking outside a rival, crept closer then angled out three to four wide into the stretch, closed in under pressure to overtake TOM HAGEN near the sixteenth marker, failed to contain the winner's outer charge then gave way grudgingly. TOM HAGEN prompted the pace outside the leader, bid to apply more pressure leaving the far turn, sparred into the lane, wrested command past the three sixteenths, ceded to BOSS IS A PAL near the sixteenth marker then kept on trying while narrowly saving the show. STREET COPPER was steadied back off foes in the opening sixteenth, raced between runners into the first turn, was taken up behind a troubled rival soon into the backstretch, dropped inside with an advance nearing the far turn then steadied soon after, came out for the drive, edged up behind foes leaving mid stretch and churned on. POWER BACK , keen inside early on, stalked inside, angled out then back in through the final furlong and kept on with effort. BEYOND THE PALE settled well back, angled out leaving the far turn, advanced three wide nearing the lane, worked between foes and churned on. STAR SHOPPING , fidgety in the gate, hopped at the start, steady off heels into the first turn, steadied again to avoid troubled foes soon into the backstretch, saved ground nearing the lane, angled out but lacked the needed finish. MR MATUSCHEK , well wide throughout, made a mild run nearing the lane then flattened out. GUAPONESS , keyed up early, took over along the inner rail soon into the first turn, set the pace while shadowed, dug in to handle outer pressure leaving the far turn, dueled to upper stretch then weakened nearing the sixteenth pole. CHIEF ALPHA broke a bit slow, was used four wide into the contention, remained wide making an advance nearing the half, chased leaving the three eighths then faded through the final quarter mile. SACHMO saved ground into and around the first turn, stumbled then took up sharply when in tight and off heels soon into the backstretch, steadied again while saving ground into the far turn, remained inside and failed to make a recovery. SHOFAR , three deep into the first turn, failed to kick on outside a rival leaving the far turn and weakened.
