NEVERWORKEDADAY stalked the pace from the three path around the turn, advanced outside SUMMERINTHECOUNTRY to challenge for the lead in mid stretch, dueled with that one then asserted himself and drove clear. SUMMERINTHECOUNTRY prompted the early pace in hand, gained a two wide lead mid way on the turn, opened up entering the stretch, was hooked in mid stretch then battled gamely. FAROOQ lacked speed, raced in the two path on the turn, swung four wide in upper stretch and rallied mildly. BALTIC showed speed along the inner rail, failed to keep pace entering the stretch, angled out in mid stretch and weakened. BENCH BOY stumbled at the start, hugged the inner rail chasing the pace on the turn and gave way. FREE COSTS TO MUCH broke slowly, swung outside near the five eighths pole, angled to the inner rail leaving the backstretch and trailed.
