Footnotes
GOLDEN GRIT tracked the leaders up the backstretch and gained ground late to get up for the win. TOM SAWYER bumped with the horse to his outside leaving the gate, dueled on the outside through the opening quarter, continued to battle around the turn and was caught late but kept on to the wire. HE IS HEAVEN SENT was squeezed back at the start, raced off the pace early and made up some ground in the lane without threatening the top two. TEXAS CREED dueled on the inside up the backstretch, dropped back coming around the bend and faded further in the lane. ROCKETS RED FLAIR bumped with the horse to his inside at the break, chased the leaders through on opening stages, gave way coming around the turn and continued to tire in the stretch.
