AIR RECRUIT pulled while racing close up in the early stages, then stalked two wide, bid on the far turn, chased THERE ARE NO WORDS into the stretch, rallied outside in the final furlong, gradually wore down that rival and surged in the final yards to a narrow victory. THERE ARE NO WORDS set the pace on the inside, showed the way on the far turn, dug in gamely in the stretch run, continued willingly to the finish and just missed. SHRUG was bumped at the start, trailed the field while saving ground, waited briefly for room at the quarter pole, then rallied between horses in the stretch and got up for third. SIEGE OF BOSTON raced off the rail, off the pace, moved up three or four wide on the far turn, came four wide into the lane and rallied mildly outside. OTAGO was bumped at the start, raced off the pace inside, then between rivals, chased between foes on the far turn and lacked a stretch bid. WON AN AWARD stalked close up outside, chased three wide on the far turn and weakened. HE'SPUREGOLD tracked on the inside, chased inside on the far turn and tired.
