Footnotes
BIG GAIN with the pace three wide, continued to contest the issue while widest of the lead pack final turn, pulled away through the lane under steady handling. ROCKET NIGHT broke out to help pinch back REMEMBER THE FEAR, settled off the pace three wide, came four wide for the drive, rallied willingly to be in time for the place, no real threat to the winner. CHOU CHOU D'AVEN (FR) with the pace while between horses, fell back off the winner upper stretch, chased that one to the wire, caught late for the second spot. GREERS FERRY saved ground when well off the pace through the first turn, continued back, moved out to the two path second turn, improved position with some belated interest while not posing a serious threat. REMEMBER THE FEAR pinched back at the start, void of speed, began to advance midway on the final turn, angled three wide into the lane, improved position as well without seriously threatening. SIR EXTON broke on top, narrowly set the pace for six furlongs while along the inside, faltered into the stretch. CRABTREE four wide in the second group through the first turn, continued outside, five wide turning for home, lacked a closing kick. BIG ANDY MORT fell back to trail after the start, continued to lack speed, picked off a couple of tiring rivals after the issue had been decided. BRINSON tracked the pace from along the inside in the second group, lacked a closing response. RUN DEANO RUN broke in to help pinch back REMEMBER THE FEAR, mid pack early, was finished after a half. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE TRAINER OF REMEMBER THE FEAR AGAINST ROCKET NIGHT FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE AT THE START, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
