Footnotes
PRINCIPE CARLO away well, narrowly showed the way early, continued to set a pressured pace through the turn and into the stretch, drew away late under steady pressure. FAMILY TRADITION last away, void of speed, rallied four to five wide out of the turn, finished willingly down the middle of the strip to annex the place. COST BASIS pressed the issue up front three wide and on the outside the first flight, bothered slightly and briefly when SMOKIN' HOT lost action early i nthe turn, continued on equal terms with the winner late in the turn, could not keep up with that one in the drive, caught late for the place spot. SMOKIN' HOT with the early pace while in the two path, lost action into the turn between horses, quickly recovered and continued to vie between horses through the turn and upper stretch, weakened in the late going. MAN ON THE MOON behind the first flight inside, continued to track while saving ground turn, lacked the needed late response. ALL WEST in mid pack and five wide up the backstretch, angled in steadily to be in the two path entering the stretch, lacked a closing response as well. RISK PROFILE broke back, worked way out to be three wide by late in the turn, improved position through the lane while not a major player. TEE BURNS back off the pace toward the inside early, angled out four wide late in the bend, failed to run on through the stretch to finish up evenly. PITTSBURGH fell back to trail after the start and was not a factor. TIN BADGE hopped at the start, mid pack and outside, four to five wide through the turn, backed up down the lane. TIE BREAKER steadily faded from racing in the middle of the pack early.
