Footnotes
WHAT'S UP DOC within striking distance off the inside, three to four final turn, outside bid into lane, dueled, brushed, proved best in determined fashion. INTERLOCK EMPIRE outrun early in mid pack, moved closer three wide in some traffic late in the final turn, steered out, hooked up with the winner past the furlong marker, brushed with that repeatedly in a duel to the wire, outkicked late, clear second. GAME KEEPER dueled up front in the three path, larger lead into the stretch, proved no match for the top two late, all out to salvage the show. REDEMPTION TIME stumbled badly at the start, moved out to race in the four path late first turn, continued outside, made a nice move into contention while five wide through most of the final bend, brief bid then flattened out the final furlong. BRILLIANT MAN off slowly, three wide when off the pace first turn, lodged a mild middle move four wide far turn, also failed to sustain that advance in the drive. SUTHERLAND in the second flight inside, crept a bit closer in some traffic turning for home, came up empty when clear for the run to the wire. FUNNY UNCLE lacked speed off rail, four to five wide exiting the final turn, failed to muster a closing rally. STELLAR VINO took control after the start inside, pace, dueled, faltered in the drive. CHARLESTON failed to menace while racing toward the inside. OUR DREAM RYE'D trailed, never a factor.
