ADAMANTLY lacked early foot, swung out five wide when beginning to advance late in the turn, challenged and took over inside the furlong marker, drifted out with a sixteenth remaining, held late. TEXAS SEQUOIA off slowly, raced back early, began a steady gain three wide late in the turn, chased the winner inside the furlong marker, altered course inside the winner as that one was drifting out in deep stretch, could not get to that one to the wire, clear of the others. OUR SPECIAL GIFT off a step slow, fell far back, four wide into the stretch, staged a belated rally to be up for the show, too late for the top two. CHUCK WILLS WIDOW settled outside, four wide into the stretch, lacked a closing kick. RANCH REBEL broke alertly, sprinted clear to show the way up the backstretch, continued to set the pace turn, caved in late to lose several positions. THIS DAMSEL MAYFLY away in good order, forwardly placed along the inside, continued within striking distance upper stretch, also had nothing left in the late going. SIMPLE DREAMS chased the leader while off the inside, fell back in the turn, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing response. WHO LU in mid pack early, closer four wide through the turn, faltered in the drive. ATHELAS was finished after a half while off the inside. SKY RAVEN forwardly placed in the run up the backstretch, chased the leader out of the turn then gave way when the real running began at the head of the lane. NOW HEAR THIS off slowly, remained always back. BOLIVIA balked loading, ducked out at the break, shortened stride, pulled up, left the track via equine ambulance.
