STORMBENDER behind the pace while racing outside, four to three wide advance in the turn when moving into contention, lost some ground to the leader into the lane,took over from the outside nearing the furlong grounds, held the runner up at bay late under firm handling. WILLY CUTS chased the leader up the backstretch, moved to challenge between horses and inside the winner turning for home, raced with that one to the wire, proved stubborn to the end. FOUR O NINE in mid pack while inside up the backstretch, steadied when in tight with four furlongs remaining, fell back, swung out four wide into the stretch, staged a mild rally to gain the nod for the show, not a threat to the top pair. WHITLEY back off the pace outside, angled three to four wide turning for home when moving a bit closer, chased the top two past the furlong marker, flattened out in the late going to lose the show. DAWN STRATEGY lacked early speed outside, came five wide into the lane, bettered position a bit while not posing a serious threat. CASTLE GAP forwardly placed and inside, fell back a bit while continuing to save ground turn, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing kick. PERSONAL JET broke inward and back, lacked speed outside, four to five wide turning for home, picked off a couple of rivals without seriously threatening. BIG COUNTRY BOY broke on top, clear in the run up the backstretch, continued to show the way turn, gave way when headed by the top pair entering the stretch. BIGWRIGDUDE off a step slow and was bothered slightly, raced back, passed a few tiring rivals while not a factor. SWIFT RULER within striking distance in the early going while just off the inside, retreated. CAPTAIN HAMAZING in mid pack early while off the inside, gave way in the two path turn. LAKE OF FIRE fell far back after the start and showed little.
