BESTFRIEND ROCKET with the first flight while between horses first turn, chased the leader up the backstretch and into the far turn, asked along midway on the final bend, long drive, rebid between horses late, gutty effort to narrowly prove best. FIRST DIVISION hesitated to be off a couple of lengths slow, second flight three path first turn, continued back into the far turn, began to advance two path, three wide into the lane, late bid outside, denied. LANDING CRAFT broke on top, set the early pace under pressure inside, clear onto the backstretch, continued to hold a daylight advantage through the final turn, responded when the top two came calling late, gave ground grudgingly. LURED AWAY off bit slow, back off pace, three to four wide out of the final turn, lacked a closing punch. CAPO LUCA also off a step slow, moved up to within striking distance backstretch, had nothing for the drive. BOUT TREE FIDDY prompted the early pace, was finished after a half.
