THORPEDO ANNA broke outward but alertly, showed the way into the first turn along the rail, set a soft set of early fractions under a snug hold, shrugged off the runner up turning for home and drew out steadily under a firm hand ride to win ridden out. FREE LIKE A GIRL broke with the winner and a bit to the inside, pressured that one from the outside, crept a bit closer in the far when called on for some run, proved no match for that same rival through the lane while clearly second best. RECHARGE broke in and was then in a bit tight, settled in the second flight two off the rail, asked far turn, between horses into the stretch, had nothing for the top two through the stretch while finishing up evenly. ALPINE PRINCESS in tight at the break, tracked the winner inside, switched to the outside upper stretch, came up empty in the run to the wire. JODY'S PRIDE squeezed back at the start to be last away, moved out three wide, within striking distance the middle half mile, also had nothing for the drive.
