LUNAR MODULE in the second flight closest to but not on the rail, dropped to the fence late in the turn, lodged a rail bid inside the leader nearing the furlong grounds, dueled to the wire, gained the nod at the wire to prove narrowly best. I'M WIDE AWAKE dueled up front in the two path and inside the other speed, put that rival away to briefly garner a larger lead in upper stretch, responded when the winner challenged along the inside soon after, raced on equal terms with that one to the wire, just missed. MISCHIEVOUS M in the second group while outside, four wide through the turn, crept a bit closer into the lane, roused, could not get to that pair late while prevailing for the show. PINELAND settled pace off the pace, continued to lack speed early turn, four wide for the drive, not enough late for the the show while widest of the lead groups. RUN JALEN RUN in the second group while three wide and between horses for a half, came up empty for the stretch. MANTA REY fell back to trail after the start, passed tiring rivals without making a major impact four wide. BOURBON'S FAULT off a step slow, remained back in failing to menace while three wide in the turn. SHACKLEFORD STRONG in mid pack while racing toward the inside, tired from those early efforts. G T FIVE HUNDRED dueled up front outside the runner up, first to blink after a half. TRUST DADDY off a step slow, was never a factor.
