Footnotes
ROSE PALACE close up from the start, narrowly showed the way up the backstretch in hand, shook clear turning for home, steadily drew out under a firm hand ride, wrapped up late, ridden out. PENS STREET off a step slow, raced back while saving ground, continued along the inside when beginning to advance far turn, rallied up the rail to earn the place, not a threat to the winner. KEY TO SUCCESS lacked speed inside, raced in the two path in the second flight behind the winner through the second turn, not enough late for the place. SUNNY ISLE BEACH set or forced the pace along the inside for six furlongs, had little left for the stretch run. TEMPLAR RED in the second flight while off the rail, remained within striking distance while three wide in the far turn, weakened in the drive. TIFFANY TWIST off a step slow, four wide in the second turn, faded through the lane.
