Footnotes
PASSION RULES off slowly, raced outside and three wide, asked along late in final turn, steady advance, bit out in the middle of the strip inside the furlong marker, drew clear late under continued steady handling. HYMN chased the pacesetter off the inside, moved inside while still in closest pursuit through the final turn, moved back out and collared that same foe turning for home, led late, could not contain the winner. AMOR PATRIAE away in good order, sprinted clear before a quarter, extended that advantage up the backstretch, offered brief resistance to the runner up in midstretch then weakened, also proving no match for the winner as well. BERMUDA BLITZ broke alertly, fell back off the first flight early, went evenly throughout in lacking a closing response. IRON SHARPENS IRON fell back to trail after the start, continued to lag the middle half, picked off some tiring rivals while not a serious threat. HANDSOME PANTS off the pace while three wide early, dropped inside second turn, failed to muster a closing kick. FARLEY HALL off slowly after losing his footing, no threat while four wide into the lane. HEAVENVILLE forwardly placed early, began a steady retreat after a half.
