KING RUSSELL close up front the start, pressed the leader from the outside, engaged that one into the far turn, dueled, shook off that rival, drew out steadily through the lane while drifting out. MENA forwardly placed while racing three wide, remained with striking distance into the stretch, proved no match for the winner in the drive, lasted for the place. NULLIFY five wide into the first turn when in mid pack four wide late in the second bend, rallied and was getting to the runner up late. HARLEEZY in the main group off the inside, crept a bit closer between horses, lacked clear room in steadying slightly, went evenly to the wire after regathering. SPOILER six to five wide first turn when off the early pace, continued back, took up behind horses late in the final turn, recovered and showed some late interest to improve position. PIKE PLACE last away, trailed for five furlongs, three wide into the stretch, passed some tiring foes in improving position. SILVER HEIST within striking distance three wide, came up empty for the stretch. CALIFORNIA TIGER took over to set the pace along the inside, faltered when headed by the winner second turn. BOURBON AFICIONADO remained back in failing to menace. TITLE CONTENDER forwardly placed while four wide with the first flight in the first turn, continued outside when beginning to fade while four wide again in the second bend, trailed home.
