Footnotes
CREATIVE MINISTER four wide into the first turn, raced unhurried the second quarter, began to advance far turn, angled in then back out to be four wide into the lane when moving to challenge, long duel outside, proved narrowly best in a determined effort. MYRA'S BOY lacked early speed, moved inside, saved ground into the far turn, slipped through along the inside to challenge entering the stretch, extended duel, missed. MENDELSSOHNS MARCH void of any early speed toward the inside, saved ground into the far turn, moved out a bit then followed the runner up through inside of horses entering the stretch, proved no match for the top pair to the wire, held the show under firm handling. CAROLO RAPIDO broke back, trailed in also showing no early foot, angled out sharply to be six wide into the stretch, lodged a bid for the show in midstretch but was outfinished. LEAR set a pressured pace in the two path, faltered when headed entering the stretch. INTERLOCK EMPIRE pressed the issue up front while between horses in the three path, fell back and raced in some traffic late in the final turn, went evenly when clear through the stretch. DOUBLE BARREL slipped at the start, settled along the inside early, moved out, three wide far turn, steered out into the five path while outside the winner turning for home, lacked a closing punch. GAME KEEPER prompted the issue up front in the four path through the first turn, continued outside of the first flight, four wide again through the second bend, gave way in the drive.
