HESS off a step slow, raced unhurried while toward the inside through the first turn, moved out and began to advance in the far bend, came four wide for the drive, outside bid nearing the furlong marker, drew well clear under steady handling. CASHMEUP settled in the second flight while on the outside early, continued to stalk in the run up the backstretch, advanced and took over in the three path entering the stretch, proved no match for the winner the final sixteenth, clearly second best. EXECUTIVE ACTION forwardly placed outside, three wide and in some traffic late in the final bend, went evenly through the strech. FACE VALUE went one paced throughout while racing toward the inside. SEAS OF NORMANDY sprinted clear to set the pace in the two path, held a daylight advantage up the backstretch, put off brief resistance when the winner challenged late in the second bend, faltered when headed. MAD ADAM void of speed, moved out, four wide late in the final turn, failed to rally. ICARUS off a step slow, remained always back. EMBER chased the early leader then began a steady retreat after a half. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RUNNER UP AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN MIDSTRETCH, THE RESULT WAS ALLOWED TO STAND.
