Footnotes
ZERO SUGAR vied up front inside early, fell back off the leader onto the backstretch, reengaged that one before a half from the outside, took over into the lane, briefly leader, held the runner up safe late under firm handling. SIXTYSEVEN MUSTANG lacked early foot, moved closer in traffic late in the final turn, in tight, split foes, roused, shifted out a bit, late surge, coming late to miss. ZARDUN settled off the pace three wide, settled up backstretch, three to four wide when advancing into the lane, closest to the winner a furlong out, flattened a bit to finish best of the rest. FEVER NIGHT void of speed early after breaking a step slow, moved closer in the second turn off the rail, waited in traffic with a quarter to run, continued in traffic until the furlong marker, went evenly when clear to the wire. KAVANAUGH prompted the pace while three wide first time, angled in then took command onto the backstretch in the two path, continued to show the way into the far turn along the rail, vied into lane, faltered final furlong. SPURGEON off slowly void of speed, four wide into the second turn, lacked a serious closing response. IRON DOME was finished after a half. OY GEVALD forwardly placed while between horses, pinched back first turn, moved out, prompted three wide, was giving way turning for home when jammed and put in tight, continued to give way.
