GOOD LORD with the first flight early, vied between horses into the turn, continued to battle in the three path entering the stretch, long duel to the wire, battled back in game fashion to gain the nod. WORLD FAIR contested the issue up front while widest, four path through the turn, held a narrow advantage into the stretch, continued to lead past the furlong marker, outfinished late to miss the nod. MAJOR MACK with the first flight after the start, came in to initiate contact with GOOD NEWS ROCKET after a furlong, in tight and checked up soon after, fell back, came three wide for the drive, finished up willingly to close the gap on the top two late. JESTER SANG broke through the gate, chased the lead pack in the four path into and through the turn, went evenly through the stretch in lacking a closing kick. GOOD NEWS ROCKET forwardly placed, bumped, in tight, checked up and fell back with five furlongs remaining, did not recover. IRISH WHISKEY off step slow, moved up to race with the pace inside, bumped, in tight, came out soon after with five furlongs remaining, vied closest to but not on the rail, first to blink of the leaders late in the turn, retreated through the lane. MY KID SYD off a step slow, trailed early, moved out from behind the trouble in front of him, three to four wide turn, failed to muster a rally. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE RUN UP THE BACKSTRETCH, MAJOR MACK WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM THIRD AND PLACED SIXTH.
