Footnotes
PUTTING EAGLE dueled up the backstretch in the two path, cleared and moved toward the rail turn, held a comfortable advantage into and through the stretch while being kept to task with intermittent encouragement. LOTTERY WIN in the second flight early, three wide through the turn, bothered upper stretch when TAP ME A SONG lugged out, could do little with the winner through the lane, held sway for the place. TAP ME A SONG dueled inside the winner early, fell back and chased that one through the turn and upper stretch, lugged out, could not contain the runner up late, saved the show. WE NEED A FAVOR off a step slow, four wide when well back into the turn, dropped to the rail by late in the bend, modest late interest to improve position, slowly gaining late for the show. TOM CAT TUESDAY in mid pack while out in the strip, raced four wide through most of the turn, went evenly through the stretch. MONTANA CAFE within striking distance while out in the strip, three wide through the bend when beginning to weaken, continued to fade stretch. ASLEEP AT EIGHT broke in, raced one paced just off the inside and failed to threaten. TROJAN PRIDE saved ground to no avail. TIP TOE JOE off a step slow, remained always back.
