GEWURZTRAMINER pressed the leader off the inside, headed, long duel, dug in late to narrowly prevail while between horses. KEEN CAT settled off the pace toward the inside first turn, traffic onto backstretch, closer second turn, moved out and raced three wide into the lane, rallied, finished willingly to narrowly miss. POWERFUL broke well, early pace inside, responded when the winner challenged in the second turn, dueled with that one the length of the stretch, gave ground grudgingly to also narrowly miss. GASOLINE in the second flight, moved inside late in the final turn, went evenly through the lane in lacking a late punch. MANTA REY broke out, lacked speed out in the strip, four wide through both turns, improved slightly while not a serious threat. EASTSIDE COOL forwardly placed while three wide into the first turn, continued to prompt the issue up front the middle half mile, gave way in the stretch. HAYES STRIKE off a step slow, three wide through the first turn, four wide through the second bend, failed to muster a rally. RABBIT HOUND lost footing at the start, remained always back. BRIGHT LEAF in some traffic along the inside first turn, began a steady fade after a half.
