Footnotes
BOOTH broke well, narrowly showed the way under pressure into the turn, dueled through the bend and into the stretch, roused nearing the furlong grounds, fully extended to hold sway in the late going. RYVIT in the second flight while racing off the inside, asked along late turn in the two path, switched out nearing the furlong marker, closed willingly to be closing the gap on the winner while in time for the place. ANARCHIST away in good order, pressed the winner from the outside, raced on equal terms with that one into the stretch, held tough to the wire while between horses at the wire. HAPPY AMERICAN lacked speed, asked along three to four wide turning for home, also was going well at the end while also between horses at the wire. TEJANO TWIST last away, unhurried outside, five wide into the lane, late interest while widest. DEVIL'S TOWER settled well off the pace along the inside, continued to save ground turn, lacked a closing kick. PAYNE in the second flight while three wide, closest to the two leaders turning for home, had little left in giving way in the drive.
