Footnotes
PRINCIPE CARLO unhurried early, between horses into the turn, patiently handled through the bend, tipped out four wide for the drive, set down, well judged to be up in time. GOLDEN LUNA in the second flight while flight while off the inside, pressed three wide through the turn, lost some ground to the leader into the lane, got back to that one to challenged between horses and inside the winner, outkicked late. BRITERDAYZAHEAD narrowly set the early pace inside, continued to show the way turn, gained a slightly larger advantage past mid stretch, gave ground grudgingly to the top to in the waning strides. MR PUK forwardly placed early, shuffled back slightly into the turn, tracked the first flight through the turn, lodged a mild, inside bid with a furlong to run, outkicked. VALE behind the pace in the second flight two off the rail, asked along late in the turn, lacked a winning punch. CLOUD WITHOUT REIN vied up front while off the inside, dueled turn two path, faltered from between foes in mid stretch. HEY EUGENE four wide when off the pace into and through the turn, floated out to the five path by the winner entering the stretch, came up empty for the run. BORN FLAWLESS well back off the pace while three to four wide turn, failed to menace. DRILL'S LI'L MAN in tight then steadied when squeezed soon after the start, fell back and was never a threat. SUMMER SPLASH was not a threat while saving ground.
