Footnotes
JOKESTAR in the second flight while between horses, behind some traffic second turn, waited briefly, steered out one path to be three wide into the stretch, soon challenged and quickly kicked clear under steady handling. MENA prompted the issue up front while four wide into the first turn, remained in a forward position, challenged three wide and between horses second turn, proved no match for the winner in the drive, held sway for the place. GUN PARTY broke back, improved by saving ground inside of rivals to settle in the second flight through the first turn, continued inside, traffic in the second turn rail, switched out for the drive, showed some late interest to be in time for the show. DAILY GRIND last away, lacked speed, began a steady advance after a half, challenged four wide late in the final turn then flattened out through the stretch. IMPERIAL GUN fell back to trail after the start, swung out five wide when making a mild advance late in the final turn, continued to show some modest interest to the wire. DARROW broke on top, narrowly set the pace along the inside, faltered when headed turning for home, continued to weaken. MAMBRINO dueled up front while racing off the inside, gave way in the drive. DANCE SOME MO in mid pack into the first turn, rank while in traffic then steadied late in that bend, fell back and did not menace thereafter. BLACK WHITE N GOLD five wide into the first turn, stopped late in the second bend, fell well back.
