WIND OF CHANGE (BRZ) broke sharp, relinquished the lead soon after, chased that rival into the turn, challenged in the two path and between horses late in the bend, shook clear in upper stretch, enough left to last while drifting a bit past the furlong marker while still maintaining a daylight advantage.. DR. SOULFIRE back off the pace and the inside, moved closer late in the turn behind a wall of horses, briefly waited, came in under a tight handed crop past the furlong marker, continued to come in and tighten WORTH LOOKING UP with a second strike of the right hand, was straightened and was closing the gap on the winner late. WORTH LOOKING lacked speed, moved closer along the inside late in the turn, also briefly waited then continued to save ground, put in tight past the furlong pole, steadied, fell back and finished up evenly. HELLO HOT ROD back off the pace outside, advanced and pressed the issue five wide through the stretch, weakened. WESTERN COMMAND off a step slow, raced back and off the inside, steered out a bit to be four wide into the stretch, improved position. KING PEANUT forwardly placed, prompted the issue four wide and between horses through the turn, tired. PASS LINE pressed the issue up front three wide, had little left for the stretch run. HUSKER BUTCH off slow, remained always back. RYNO WRECKER broke forwardly, sprinted clear the opening furlong, showed the way into the turn by daylight, vied into the lane and stopped. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF WORTH LOOKING AGAINST DR. SOULFIRE FOR INTERFERENCE IN MIDSTRETCH, THE LATTER WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SECOND AND PLACED THIRD.
