CACTUS , jostled a the break, was forced in soon after, regrouped and edged up outside BOSS IS A PAL and stalked the dueling leaders, shifted four wide for the drive, closed in to take over outside foes in mid stretch then edged clear late under pressure. BOSS IS A PAL had speed then rated back a bit in the opening sixteenth, jumped a track near the half, stalked the duel while saving ground, angled out near the three sixteenths, moved up between foes to threaten in mid stretch, failed to match strides with the outer moving winner but stayed well to earn the place. LOUISIANIMAL rated in the clear and within range of the leaders, angled five wide for the drive and closed steadily. SUE LOVES BARBADOS saved ground, eased out in upper stretch and continued on with effort. SOUTHERN HORSE (ARG) , off the pace and off the inside, came five wide for the drive, worked further out for the final furlong and churned on. MARATHONER was shuffled back soon after the start then forced inward by SMITTEN ENOUGH, regrouped to save ground off the pace, was guided well out in the course for the final furlong and finished with interest. SMITTEN ENOUGH bore in and bumped a rival then caused a jam up when continuing to come in, corrected and moved up to engage the leader from the outside into the turn, battled to mid stretch then weakened late. MONSTER MASON , bumped and squeezed back at the break, raced very wide and failed to menace. TENAX broke a step slow, was taken up soon after, dropped off the pace, raced three wide between runners leaving the far turn and came up empty. IRISH HERO sped to command in the opening sixteenth, dueled inside, failed to kick on in mid stretch and faltered.
