EXULTATION was closest in pursuit from the two path through both turns, drew alongside GREAT KING (FR) at the top of the stretch, put a head in front at the eighth pole and maintained a short lead over the runner-up to the wire. GREAT KING (FR) took control early and moved inside, set all the pace from the rail to the stretch, challenged by EXULTATION at the top of the lane, lost the advantage with a furlong remaining but stayed on gamely inside the winner to the line. BIZZEE CHANNEL raced in the two path mid-pack early, drew closer on the backstretch between rivals, remained two wide through the far turn, finished willingly down the lane to gain third but could not reach the top pair. MOODY JIM (IRE) raced three deep near the back early on, ridden along still in the three path on the far turn, finished evenly down the lane and edged SYDNEY STREET (GB) for a minor award. SYDNEY STREET (GB) unhurried from the far outside and quickly steered across to the rail, hugged the rail to the stretch, kept trying down the lane to improve position. MAN FRIDAY traveled three deep at the back into the first turn, moved back and shifted into the two path, trailed along the rail into the far turn, angled out and came four wide into the lane, moved out further and offered a mild response. SBAGLIATO broke out and bumped, moved inside racing in the middle of the pack, drew closer on the backstretch, saved ground to the lane, moved out a bit and weakened. FLY THE SKY pulled in the two path on the clubhouse turn, continued to tug on the backstretch, waited between rivals in the two path on the far turn, asked in the lane but failed to make an impact while finding a bit of traffic late. SILENT HEAT stalked three wide around the first turn, continued in the three path on the second bend, moved out in the lane and weakened.
