Footnotes
DESERT ROCKET settled in the two path inside a rival, ridden along the rail on the far turn, swung out into the lane, challenged four deep past the eighth pole, dueled outside VICTORY MATTERS late and won the bob at the wire. VICTORY MATTERS pulled along the inside and steadied behind the leader on the first turn, saved ground through the far turn, lacked room behind the leaders into the lane, gained a clear path on the fence and launched a bid, took over midstretch, dueled with DESERT ROCKET late and lost the bob on the line. CANANI raced up close in the two path, bid outside the pacesetter at the midway point, ridden along through the far turn, dueled into the final furlong but was no match for the top pair in deep stretch. DANZING WILD CAT sprinted clear and moved inside, took pressure on the backstretch, held a short lead through the far turn, clung to a narrow advantage with a furlong remaining, lost command shortly after and weakened in the last sixteenth. FIGHT BACK stalked three deep early, chased two then three wide on the far turn and weakened in the drive. TOPPERS WAGER settled outside a rival in the three path, ridden along into the far turn, chased two to three wide around that bend and was never a factor.
