SHEA BRENNAN settled inside then moved into the two path on the first turn, tugged between rivals in the middle stages, gained while easing out around the far turn, came out and bumped WHISKYGINANDBRANY into the stretch, rallied to the front at the eighth pole, battled with WHISKEYGINANDBRANDY late and dug in to prevail. WHISKYGINANDBRANDY stalked two then three wide early, three deep up the backstretch, came under a ride on the far turn, got bumped and forced out by SHEA BRENNAN leaving the bend, rallied in tandem with that rival down the lane, fought gamely to the wire but was unable to get by the winner. STYLE CAT broke out and brushed ACCIDENTAL GENIUS, went up to vie for the lead in the two path then along the rail, carried a short lead inside rivals through the far turn, lost command at the eighth pole and stayed on well inside the top pair for third. R HEISMAN vied three deep between into the first turn, ceded command late on the bend, stalked up the backstretch, moved inside leaving the far turn, lacked room in upper stretch, gained a clear path and roused with a furlong remaining, altered out a bit at the sixteenth pole and kept on for a minor award. DROP UM vied four then three wide for command around the first turn, fought outside STYLE CAT for command in the middle stages, battled between rivals on the far turn and into the final furlong but weakened in the late stages. GOT'M COT'M showed early speed five deep then moved into the four path around the clubhouse turn, pressed the leaders three deep up the backstretch, vied three deep to the stretch and weakened in the final eighth of a mile. I'M A BAD BOY raced up close from inside then took a stalking position, lost ground around the far turn, angled out into the lane, ridden along to the eighth pole then eased in the furlong grounds and walked off. ACCIDENTAL GENIUS brushed by inner rival at the start, trailed three then two wide early, eased out to the four path around the far turn and could not make an impact. THE RIDER ABOARD WHISKYGINANDBRANDY LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST SHEA BRENNAN FOR INTERFERENCE LEAVING THE FAR TURN. THERE WAS ALSO A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE SAME INCIDENT. IN A UNANIMOUS DECISION, SHEA BRENNAN WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST TO SECOND FOR COMING OUT AND MAKING HARD CONTACT WITH WHISKYGINANDBRANY INTO THE STRETCH, COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
