HARNEY LANE pressed the pace between rivals inside the leader, put a head in front dueling on the turn, shook free from outer rival in upper stretch, led clear into the last sixteenth, was threatened by ICY MISCHIEF in the closing moments but was able to last. ICY MISCHIEF raced up close inside the top pair then chased along the rail into the turn, moved off the fence and took aim two to three wide entering the stretch, came with a late bid and missed in a close photo. SPREAD THE RISK chased three deep, paused when crowded a bit at the three-eighths pole, angled out and came five wide into the lane, offered a mild rally and nailed CANDYINTHEMORNING for third. CANDYINTHEMORNING set the pace outside rivals in the early going, lost command in the three then two path outside, yielded to the winner in upper stretch and was lost third at the wire. HAPPY CHAPPY chased inside rivals, steered out past the five-sixteenths pole, exited the bend in the four path and lacked a rally. TOPPER'S CHIEFTESS trailed off the inside, went four wide into the turn, moved out five deep on the bend, tipped out further at the top of the stretch and failed to menace. ABOVE THE FOLD chased off the rail then between rivals, traveled two wide on the turn then found the rail late on the bend and lacked further response. FLY SOUTH broke a bit slow, chased within range out wide early, rounded the bend in the four path and weakened.
