Footnotes
TOUCHDOWN BROWN stalked the top pair in the three path, challenged three deep with three furlongs remaining, inched ahead past the five-sixteenths pole, cleared leaving the bend and moved in, drew away under strong handling in upper stretch and was ridden out through the final furlong. READY TO POUNCE stalked from inside, asked midway around the far turn, angled three wide at the quarter pole, finished willingly to gain second and bested the rest. MONGOLIAN MAX raced in range early from the rail then dropped off the pace around the clubhouse turn while moving into the two path, saved ground on the fence around the far turn, offered a mild rally up the inside in the lane and gained third. JOINT VENTURE took control early and showed the way two wide then along the rail, set the pace under pressure from LEYAS CANDY to the outside, fought inside a pair of rivals at the three-eighths pole, lost command past the five-sixteenths marker, could not kick on with the winner entering the lane and weakened in the drive. TAISHAN settled in the three path outside a rival, remained three wide into the far turn, moved over to the two path around the bend and weakened. LEYAS CANDY pressed the pace from outside, fought between rivals on the far turn, failed to keep up at the quarter pole and faded out of contention. COOLWIND broke cleanly but lacked early quickness, lagged behind on the inside and was never a factor.
