FIRENZE FLAVOR bobbled a bit leaving the gate when lightly brushing with inner rival, settled three then two wide outside a rival, chased two wide through the far turn, angled out into the stretch and inhaled the top pair. LILA was closest in pursuit from inside early, crept closer outside the leader on the backstretch, took aim two wide through the far turn, drew alongside PURA VIDA PRINCESA with a sixteenth remaining, raced on even terms in the final fifty yards, dug in late to pass that rival but outkicked by the closing winner to the outside. PURA VIDA PRINCESA pulled to the front and cleared early, showed the way two wide then along the rail on the first turn, set all the pace to the stretch, led clear to midstretch, met the challenge from LILA in deep stretch and yielded grudgingly late. CALMATE broke out and bumped, settled inside then a bit off the rail early, waited in the two path on the far turn, lacked room in upper stretch, asked once in the clear past the eighth pole and kept on to round out the superfecta. BIG LEAP tucked inside at the back, angled out late on the far turn, moved out further in the lane and came with a mild rally to improve position. PREEM settled outside a rival, chased in the three path on the far turn, tipped out into the lane and lacked a bid. KITTY MARREN tracked in the two path between rivals, ridden along still in the two path on the far turn, then weakened down the lane. FOOTNOTE brushed from inside at the start, moved inside sitting off the pace, lacked room in upper stretch and could not rally once in the clear. WATERSHED MOMENT stalked in the three path, continued three deep on the far turn and faded in the stretch run. MAKENARITA raced in range along the fence, saved ground to the stretch and faded.
