Footnotes
DURAN cleared from inside to set the tone early, kicked away on the backstretch, padded the lead on the far turn, remained well clear into the final furlong and held safely under right handed urging. DARK MARCUS steadied behind a rival four then three wide on the clubhouse turn, continued near the back outside a rival in the middle stages, chased two, three, then four wide on the far turn, finished well in the lane to gain second but could not reach the winner. LONE SCOUT settled four then three wide outside rivals early, raced outside a rival up the backstretch, traveled four then three wide on the far turn as well, finished willingly in a tight spot between rivals late and got up for third. SALTWATER COWBOY broke a step slow, chased in the three path around the clubhouse turn, traveled in mid-pack outside a rival on the backstretch, made progress staying in the three path on the far turn, had the rider lose his crop midstretch, churned on late and got outfinished for the place and show. EASTBOUND traveled two wide off the pace, raced along the rail then shifted back to the two path on the far turn, moved out in the lane and improved position. NAVY MAN stalked from inside early, dropped out of range, ridden along the rail on the far turn then chased two wide into the lane and failed to respond. BOWTIE BOYS unhurried from the far outside, went five then four wide around the first turn, trailed up the backstretch, exited the backstretch in the three path, spun five wide into the lane and could not make an impact. HONEYMOON SUITE away quickly then stalked the leader in the two path around the first turn, was coaxed along when dropping out of range on the backstretch, went two wide then along the rail on the far turn and weakened. LAST CALL LONDON settled along the inside, saved ground well off the pace, eased in the lane and walked off.
