ZIMBA WARRIOR raced up close in the four path, followed the leader three deep into the far turn, asked past the five-sixteenths pole, drew alongside the leader from outside past the quarter pole, cleared in upper stretch under left handed asking, then drew off in the final furlong and was ridden out to the wire. IMPOSSIBLE TASK leaned back and broke a step slow, showed early speed from inside then took a stalking position around the clubhouse turn, came under a ride saving ground on the second bend, finished willingly down the lane to gain second but was no match for the winner. KINGMEISTER tracked along the rail then moved out a bit around the first turn, chased on the fence again leaving the backstretch, chased three wide turning for home, drifted out in the lane and was along for third. ATOMIC DROP vied between foes into the first turn then cleared from the two path, showed the way along the inside into the far turn, confronted by ZIMBA WARRIOR late on the bend, yielded in upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. SOUL OF MIDNIGHT raced up close three deep then stalked off the rail, chased two wide into the far turn, moved out late on the bend and came four wide into the stretch, then tired in the stretch run. NOLDE broke a step slow, trailed near the inside then in the two path, went outside a rival on the backstretch, traveled two wide then along the rail at the back entering the lane and came up empty. ENOS SLAUGHTER climbed two then three wide chasing on the clubhouse turn, moved out to the four path on the second bend and was never a factor.
