Footnotes
TIZZ A GOOD THING broke well then settled inside off the pace, closed in around the turn, tipped out at the top of the lane, drew alongside the leader inside the eighth pole and wore down YOGI BOY to inch ahead late. YOGI BOY stalked the lone leader from inside, challenged from the rail leaving the backstretch, took over at the three-eighths pole, cleared outer rival, met the bid from TIZZ A GOOD THING past the eighth pole and yielded grudgingly. TALLIS bumped leaving the gate, unhurried in the early going, trailed two wide then along the rail, angled out in the lane and produced a mild rally to gain third. NAISMITH got bumped and lost path leaving the gate, trailed up the backstretch while moving to the inside, passed a pair of rivals from the fence on the turn, moved out in the lane and got outkicked by TALLIS for third. GRANITIANSEVENSIX sped clear and set the pace up the backstretch, pressured from inside into the turn, lost command with three furlongs remaining, chased two wide into the lane and weakened. FORTY NINER GOLD stalked outside a rival, chased two wide to the stretch and weakened. SIR LUCAS tracked three deep then outside a rival, came under a ride two to three wide on the turn and weakened.
