TROTSKY pressed from outside, dueled around the turn, battled inside rivals in the stretch, dug in while dueling with LAST CALL PAUL in deep stretch and edged that rival by a nose at the wire. LAST CALL PAUL coaxed along early off the pace, chased three wide into the turn, five wide into the lane, got bumped by GOING NOWHERE in upper stretch, seized command past the eighth pole, dueled outside TROTSKY late and got nose out on the line. GOING NOWHERE dropped back and angled in, eased out to the three path slowly while gaining around the bend, tipped out and bumped LAST CALL PAUL while getting hemmed in upper stretch, altered out into the clear past the eighth pole and came on late for a came third. COTTON ROSSER settled widest in the early going, moved into range up the backstretch, went four wide into the turn, bid three deep past the five-sixteenths pole, took over in upper stretch, yielded midstretch and flattened to fourth. FINCAIRN raced in range along the inside into the turn, chased two wide turning for home, angled out wide in the lane and lacked a bid. CAUGHT IN THE DARK set a pressure pace up the backstretch, dueled from inside on the turn and weakened down the lane. HYDROPLANE chased off the inside, entered the turn in the three path, moved into the two path then trailed four wide into the lane and tired. THE RIDER ABOARD GOING NOWHERE LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST LAST CALL PAUL FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED UNANIMOUSLY THAT THE VIDEO DID NOT SUBSTANTIATE THE RIDER'S CLAIM OF FOULD AND THERE WOULD NO CHANGE.
