THIRST FOR PASSION tracked from inside out of range early, drew closer under urging on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane, latched onto DANZIG TIL DAWN midstretch and proved best late. DANZIG TIL DAWN took control and moved inside, showed the way clear to the eighth pole, took pressure from THIRST FOR PASSION in the furlong grounds and yielded grudgingly. BENSTER sat off the pace along the fence, angled out past the five-sixteenths pole, chased three wide turning for home, kept trying down the lane to gain third but was no match for the top pair. G'ORO tucked inside at the back, trailed outside a rival leaving the backstretch, got moved out to the four path briefly approaching the quarter pole, spun three wide into the lane and improved position but needed to find more to be a serious threat. COPPERHEAD FEVER tracked along the fence then went outside a rival on the clubhouse turn, coaxed along in the two path on the far turn, found the rail past the quarter and lacked further response. CHEERING FOR LAYLA taken in hand early and moved inside racing towards the back, saved ground through the far turn as well, angled out in upper stretch and was never a factor. COCONUT GIRL was closest in pursuit from the two path around both turns and faded down the lane.
