DISCREPANCY raced outside a rival at the back, angled to the inside at the five-sixteenths pole, cut the corner into the stretch, challenged from the fence in upper stretch, swept by the leader at the eighth pole and held safely over the late run from the runner-up. CHOLLIMA raced inside a rival at the back, tipped out past the five-sixteenths pole, swung widest into the lane and came with a late run down the middle portion of the track to earn second. QUEEN OF THE TRACK vied between rivals then dueled outside a rival on the turn, cleared at the quarter pole, offered no resistance to DISCREPANCY approaching the eighth pole and churned on to save third. CITY GLITTER chased off the inside, went two wide into the turn, eased over to the three path, angled five wide nearing the stretch and lacked a bid. WOODBINE WAY off alertly, pressed between rivals then chased in the two path on the turn, got put in tight between rivals and checked entering the lane, kept trying in the stretch but had to stop again when lacking room at the sixteenth pole and was too late to recover. SAPADILLA vied five deep to the turn, chased five then four wide around the bend and flattened down the lane. FALABELLA vied four deep between rivals in the early going, chased four then three wide on the turn and weakened in the stretch run. ROMAN EMPRESS fought inside a quartet of rivals up the backstretch, dueled with the winner to the five-sixteenths pole, yielded to that rival with a quarter mile remaining, drifted slightly to the two path late on the bend and faded.
