ROBIN'S TOUGH LOVE broke a bit slow, climbed early then moved up quickly from outside, chased four then three wide around the turn, took aim in the final furlong, dug in late and got up to outnod NEPHELE on the line. NEPHELE raced up close in the early going, bid two wide around the bend, took over at the quarter pole, inched ahead in upper stretch, resisted inside ROBIN'S TOUGH LOVE in deep stretch but lost the bob at the wire. ROMAN BRONZE tracked off the rail, chased two wide into the lane, bid between rivals but lacked the needed late kick. SCORE FOR ALICE stepped to the front from inside, took pressure from NEPHELE on the turn, lost command late on the bend, yielded in upper stretch and flattened to fourth. SMILING RAPPER tracked from inside, lost ground around the turn and weakened in the lane. LITTLE VENUS chased from off the pace, went four wide around the bend and failed to menace. A RYDER'S TRICK off slow in the beginning, climbed early and dropped back, moved inside for the turn, steered off the fence in the lane and was never a factor.
