ZALAMO (FR) settled three deep then moved into the two path, pulled up on heels on the backstretch, angled in then back out on the far turn, rallied widest in the lane, fought five deep into the last sixteenth and dug in under strong handling to edge past for the victory. PRESIDER stalked along the rail then shifted over to the two path on the first turn, bid two wide leaving the second bend, put a nose in front at the eighth pole but was outkicked in the final fifty yards. RASTAMAN VIBE tracked in the two path, had to take hold when running on heels approaching the seven-sixteenths pole, remained two wide through the far turn, tipped out and bid four deep in the final furlong but got outkicked by the top pair. LORD TRIPPING stepped to the front and moved inside, led clear to the quarter pole then took pressure late on the far turn, lost command at the eighth pole and weakened late. PROMISSIO tracked the speed from the rail position, drew closer on the backstretch, followed behind the leaders through the far turn, put in a mild bid in upper stretch but could not summon the needed late kick. GROGU pulled badly along the inside, got put in tight on the rail at the five-sixteenths pole, cut the corner into the lane and kept on trying through the drive. MCCLUSKY raced on heels early then got put in tight between rivals on the clubhouse turn, moved out and gained quickly three deep in the middle stages, lost ground three then two wide on the second bend and weakened down the lane. KIMMER raced outside a rival at the back early, moved out in the lane and was never threatened. SILENT HEAT was forced to checked along the fence early, pulled early on the backstretch, saved ground at the back on the far turn and was never a factor.
