CALL SIGN SEVEN tucked inside at the back, tipped two wide at the quarter pole still with a lot of work left to do, had to pause in traffic behind rivals in upper stretch, split foes past the eighth pole, exploded late and got up to nail the runner-up on the line. JEWELED SHILLELAGH sprinted clear and moved inside, opened up on the backstretch, coaxed along well clear on the far turn, put to left handed urging at the top of the stretch, carried a comfortable lead into deep stretch, grew weary late and got nailed at the wire. HEART HEADED settled three then four deep on the clubhouse turn, moved into the two path on the backstretch, split foes in upper stretch, surged late between rivals but was outclosed by the winner and could not get by JEWELED SHILLELAGH for second. CIRO DI MARZIO tracked two wide off the pace, between foes then outside a rival on the backstretch, chased three wide into the lane, was closest in pursuit at the furlong marker, finished willingly late to whittle the gap but needed to find more. BLAMETHEGOODTIMES raced three then two wide well off the pace on the first turn, navigated the far turn two then three wide as well, angled out at the top of the lane, showed late run but was not enough. FREEPORT JOE was rank along the inside early near the back, stayed on the fence to save ground on the far turn, lacked room in upper stretch, then improved position between rivals in the final sixteenth. SKETCHY stalked from inside, dropped off the pace leaving the first turn, hugged the rail and cut the corner into the stretch and failed to threaten. CALM SEA broke a step slow, reserved in the early going next to the fence, eased over to the two path around the far turn, tipped three wide into the stretch and lacked further response. AMERICAN GLORY (GB) traveled between rivals in the two path early, came under a ride on the far turn while saving ground, asked right handed entering the lane, switched to the left hand in upper stretch and was never a factor. STAMP MY PASSPORT settled two then three wide, raced between then outside a rival in the middle stages, came four wide into the stretch and had little left for the drive. T'CHALLA (GB) stalked in the two path, was closest in pursuit out of range on the backstretch, chased near the inside then between rivals entering the lane and tired. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
