STAN FROM MALIBU got knocked into outer rival at the start, took control from LITTLEBROTHERJOEY early, cleared that rival at the half-mile pole, carried the lead near the inside through the turn, led clear under a drive into deep stretch and held off CODY BOY nearing the wire. CODY BOY chased off the inside, two to three wide around the bend, was closest in pursuit entering the stretch, followed within striking distance through the final furlong, dug in late but was not enough. NOVINOPHOBIA shifted in at the start, chased along the inside off the pace, gained while moving into the two path around the bend, took aim in the final furlong but finished evenly late while edging VORPAL for the show. VORPAL got bumped on both sides in the beginning, followed in range off the rail, exited the bend three to four wide, finished evenly late and got edged for third. I AM AMADEO was coaxed along while dropping off the pace, chased four then three wide around the turn, moved out in the lane and failed to menace. LITTLEBROTHERJOEY broke out and caused a chain reaction at the start, showed early speed then pressed STAN FROM MALIBU from inside, chased after that rival past the half-mile marker, saved ground through the turn and weakened. MR. BIG HEART got bumped hard from inside leaving the gate, lost his path and steadied early, went two wide into the turn, trailed four wide into the stretch and was never a factor.
