NEW KING stalked the speed from inside, moved into the two path on the far turn, latched onto TRANCHE in upper stretch, took the lead midstretch and drove clear. TRANCHE grabbed the lead two to three wide into the first turn, showed the way along the rail around the far turn, roused with a quarter mile remaining, confronted by NEW KING in upper stretch, resisted to midstretch, then relinquished the lead but stayed on well for a game second. GHAZAALY antsy in the gate, stalked between then started to climb on the clubhouse turn, went two wide into the far turn, angled out to the four path, was no match for the top pair and kept on to retain third. MICI'S EXPRESS raced up close four then three wide early, chased outside a rival into the far turn, asked three wide on that bend and weakened. SHOFNER trailed three wide into the first turn then moved inside, disliked the kickback past the half-mile pole, passed rivals from the fence on the far turn but could not rally in the lane. AWESOME ROAD chased three deep early, dropped back three, four, then two wide on the far turn, spun three wide into the lane and came up empty. RIMPROTECTOR antsy in the gate, settled in the four path, remained wide around the far turn and tired.
