Footnotes
PANUCO coaxed from the gate, vied inside rivals for command, dueled around the turn, cleared WINDS OF FREEDOM entering the lane and held safely over FAR WESTERN through the final furlong. FAR WESTERN vied between rivals then ceded command approaching the turn, chased in the two path then took aim three wide exiting the bend, finished willingly in the lane but could not reach the winner. WHISKEYINATEACUP got bumped by WINDS OF FREEDOM early, vied for the lead between rivals then chased under asking past the half-mile pole, rounded the bend in the three path and nailed WINDS OF FREEDOM for the show honors. WINDS OF FREEDOM bobbled slightly at the start but still came away with the rest, went up to take control four then three deep in the early stages, fought outside PANUCO to the quarter pole, shifted in while losing touch with that rival into the stretch and weakened.
