CHARGE FOR GOLD established the front quickly, led along the inside then in the two path around the turn, drifted in from the right hand at the eighth pole and held safely. DANDY MAN SHINES (IRE) broke a bit slow, chased from off the pace then moved into range along the inside on the turn, steered off the fence in the lane, finished willingly but could not reach the winner while besting the rest. GAME TIME tracked two wide into the turn, moved into the three path around the bend, came four wide into the lane, drifted in a bit through the drive and could not get by DANDY MAN SHINES (IRE) for second. GRAND ASPEN broke a bit sluggishly to lose a step at the start, trailed two wide then along the rail on the turn, went two wide into the lane, found the rail again in the stretch, passed a couple rivals but needed to find more. WHATMAKESSAMMYRUN broke through the gate, caught by the outrider about a furlong from the gate and was brought back around and reloaded, laid off the pace three deep into the turn, moved into the two path around the bend, angled out for the drive and weakened. COVEY (GB) was closest in pursuit from the two path, got crowded in upper stretch but was already being outkicked and weakened in the late stages.
