TWILIGHT EMPIRE tracked from outside early, went four wide into the turn, moved into the three path, bid three deep at the three-sixteenths pole, put a head in front with a furlong remaining and maintained a short advantage over HARNEY LANE to the wire. HARNEY LANE brushed inner rival leaving the gate, went up to press the pace from inside, took over into the turn, lost command at the eighth pole and finished well inside the winner for a game second. ROSES R BLUE lacked early speed, had one rival beat three wide into the turn, stayed off the rail to the stretch and showed late run to gain third. CEE'S THE IMAGE set the pace early under pressure from HARNEY LANE to the inside, lost command into the turn, kept the pressure on that rival to the stretch, lost touch with the top pair into the final furlong and kept on for a minor award. SHEZARUNAWAY lacked early speed, trailed on the inside into the turn and was never a factor. TAMANTARI brushed leaving the gate, chased two wide off the pace into the turn, moved over to the rail late on the bend and lacked further response. LADY'S SERMON chased the top pair from off the rail, went three then two wide around the turn and faded.
