LOCKED stalked four deep into the clubhouse turn, remained wide up the backstretch, was on the move five, four, then three wide on the far turn, drew alongside EXPRESS TRAIN exiting the bend, quickly put that rival away in upper stretch, then powered away under left handed urging, put the crop away at the sixteenth pole and coasted late. EXPRESS TRAIN got floated in by NEW KING shortly after the start, stalked the speed from the rail, bid inside the top pair early on the far turn, took over and cleared with a quarter mile remaining, challenged by LOCKED entering the lane, offered no resistance and relinquished the lead shortly after, then kept on through the final furlong to finish a clear second. HIT SHOW was off slow to begin, reserved three deep in the earl going then went four wide around the clubhouse turn, continued outside rivals up the backstretch, angled in then back out on the far turn and gained the show honors. MIDNIGHT MAMMOTH broke well then took a stalking position from off the rail, went three wide around the clubhouse turn, applied pressure at the nine-sixteenths pole, fought three deep on the far turn, could not keep up with EXPRESS TRAIN with a quarter mile left to run and flattened to fourth. J B STRIKES BACK stalked three deep then in the four path early, came under a ride on the backstretch, lost ground four then three wide on the far turn, spun five wide into the stretch and weakened. KATONAH traveled between rivals at the back of the back early, rounded the first turn in the three path, angled in on the backstretch, asked left handed midway around the far turn, chased two wide into the lane, went between rivals at the eight pole and failed to menace. NEW KING lugged in shortly after the start, pulled along the inside at the back early, moved into the two path for the first turn, trailed four wide into the lane and was never a factor. MIRAHMADI broke alertly and went up to take control, took pressure from outer rival at the nine-sixteenths pole, vied between rivals with three furlongs remaining, relinquished the lead to EXPRESS TRAIN, yielded to that rival approaching the quarter pole and tired down the lane.
