Footnotes
BE PUNCTUAL dueled from inside then ceded command around the first turn, switched to the outside early on the backstretch and kept the pressure on BOWTIE BOYS to the far turn, headed that rival at the five-sixteenths pole, put a head in front shortly after, led three wide into the drive, lugged out through the lane and held a short advantage to the wire. BOWTIE BOYS dueled from outside then inched ahead around the clubhouse turn, set the pace under pressure from BE PUNCTUAL to the outside up the backstretch, relinquished the lead past the five-sixteenths pole, fought in the two path turning into the stretch, lugged out in the lane and stayed on for a game second. CUPID'S CRUSADER stalked the pace from inside, asked around the far turn, could not produce a bid in the lane but was able to secure third. EASTBOUND tracked outside a rival then off the rail, rounded the far turn three then two wide and could not rally when called upon. PETESOLDFASHIONED trailed in the two path then along the rail, continued next to the fence to the stretch and was never a factor.
