BOLT ZAPPER moved up to prompt the early issue outsider pacesetter, moved alongside that rival then led past five-sixteenths marker, edged away into the lane, dug in from the inside nearing the wire and just lasted. PROUD RACER chased early from the inside, tipped out leaving the backstretch, continued two then three wide into the stretch, closed steadily in the late stages and lost narrow decision on the wire. CHARLEY PRIDE was off a bit slow, chased two wide then between rivals, stalked three wide on the turn, came out further exiting the bend and held third through the drive. LAST CALL PAUL chased from the three path early then dropped back bit into the turn, came in slightly around the bend and finished evenly from the inside. EAGLES DARE tracked three wide to the turn then four wide around the bend, continued well off the rail through the stretch and lacked needed response. GANTRY broke alertly and gained control while angling over, had that lead dissolve early on the turn, was overtaken passing five-sixteenths marker and retreated from the inside in the stretch.
